Youth Ministry
Purpose: To produce spiritually mature youth who will evangelize the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Youth Requirements: Open to all youth, ages 13 to 18. Mentor/Teacher Qualifications: Must be saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit; must complete Membership Classes; ability to teach the truth about God's Word; must demonstrate wisdom and understanding; must attend Teacher in-service with Pastor and Youth Ministry Leadership: required to observe youth bible study classes in session before teaching; must possess characteristics of compassion, patience, non-judgmental and non-critical; must be flexible, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit as described in the Bible, and must maintain composure under pressure.

Children's Ministry
Purpose: To nurture and develop children who will seek to be like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Children Requirements: Open to all children, ages 7 to 12. Singles Ministry
Purpose: To nurture growth in single adults as they rely on God daily to meet their needs in their season of singleness. Objective: That single adults would live the way God intended; to minister and fellowship with others while seeking to impact the community for Christ; to build quality relationships with God and each other; to cultivate a spirit of being content in singleness.
Drama Ministry
Purpose: To Spread The Gospel Through The Gift Of Drama And Writing. To ACT UP ACT IN ACT OUT To dramatically express our loving relationship with God. To dramatically take the lead in demonstrating Gods' presence in our lives. To dramatically play out the plan of salvation to all of Gods' people.
Bridge Builders Ministry
Purpose: To minister to and provide fellowship for adults ages 65 and over. Responsibilities: To provide community outreach and church based programs that will build relationships with God and each other.

eMinistry/PowerPoint Team
Purpose: To utilize computer technology to share Christ's love with the world. Responsibilities: Ability to enhance current ministries through the use of technology; to equip those who minister with appropriate tools and training to expand the outreach of the church to connect with people by using weekly worship service with PowerPoint presentations.
Violin Music Ministry
Purpose: To show our praise and adoration of the Lord through music. The goal of this ministry is to provide lessons to students and adults ages 10 and above. Responsibilities: Attend special church services and events; travel abroad within the Inland Empire to encourage diversity in string instrument performance.
D.O.V.E. - Parking Lot Ministry
D.O.V.E. means Directing Others Vehicles Efficiently. Purpose: To direct parking lot traffic, assist guests and seniors upon entering facility as needed. Responsibilities: Be available to work the parking lot on a rotating schedule; attend an orientation workshop and assist in establishing procedures, then assist in implementing them to maximize space available within and around the grounds of the church.
Greeters/Hospitality Ministry
Purpose: To bring honor and glory to God which is accomplished by providing a warm Christian spirit that exemplifies friendliness to all guests, so they may experience genuine Christian love and warmth. Responsibilities: To greet arriving guests and members for worship; welcome guests; distribute Sunday bulletins and other materials at the front door, and give assistance graciously; must arrive promptly thirty minutes before morning services and be available to assist with special events.
Music, Praise & Worship Ministry
Purpose: To magnify God through the use of vocal and instrumental talents, and communicate the Word of God through music. Responsibilities: Participate actively in weekly Praise and Worship rehearsals for weekend services and special events; must arrive promptly before services or events and be ready to praise the Lord.
Finance Ministry
Purpose: To acquire and share investment opportunities and disseminate information to enhance skills, knowledge, and awareness of the church body that will strategically target financial growth. Responsibilities: Participate actively in meetings, willing to research various topics and report findings; utilize available resources to promote growth, look for opportunities to increase individual and church finances, must be able to handle God's resources and must be able to provide biblically based practical skills for managing money, and must be willing to put God's financial plan into action.
Benevolence Ministry- (An Appointed Ministry)
Purpose: To offer a place of care and support to help manage and minimize individual and family distress. Responsibilities: Help extend comfort, support, and compassion to those that are in need.
Evangelism Ministry
Purpose: To minister God's Word to the community; share the Gospel, and encourage fellowship with the CrossWord Christian Church family. Responsibilities: Go into communities to share the Word of God and place literature in assigned areas; must be willing to lead prayer.
Solutions 4 Life Ministry
Purpose: To help extend the love, comfort, and the compassion of Jesus Christ to those who may be recovering from life's painful interruptions. The goal is to invoke life change and recovery from a seemingly hopeless state of mind, body and spirit through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Responsibilities: Participate in Christian based support groups and be committed to help direct and improve the quality of life in others; assist in responding to calls for help; demonstrate ability to listen, love and encourage individuals in transition; sponsorship and evangelism.
Resurge - Young Adult Ministry (Ages 18 - 35)
Purpose: To provide bible studies and Christian based programs that minister to young adults and encourage them to grow spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.

Medical Response Team (MRT) Ministry
Purpose: The Medical Response Team is comprised of medical technicians to nurse practitioners who provide qualified care in medical/emergency situations that occur on the Cross Word campus. All members are CPR/First Aid certified.
Wellness/Fitness Ministry
P.A.H.L. - Positive Affirmations For Healthy Living
Purpose: To encourage seekers and believers to participate in wellness/fitness activities, which strengthen spiritual, emotional, physical, and social well-being. This ministry Includes: • Spirit Riders Cycling Ministry – this team schedules regular cycling outings. New participants are welcome. • Golf Ministry – designed to provide an outlet for those loving the game of golf. Regular outings are scheduled and new participants are welcome.
Couples Ministry
Purpose: To help provide couples with practical tools and biblical principles to enhance and build a lasting marriage. Responsibilities: Regular attendance and participation at gatherings; commitment to assist in building strong and healthy marriages.
Prayer/Decision Counselors Ministry
Purpose: To minister directly to those in their moments of need through prayer and directed spiritual intervention. Qualifications: Must be a Christian - Born Again (John 3:7), must know that you love God, believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and must be filled with the Holy Spirit; must have victory in manifestation over habits - smoking, drinking, alcohol, narcotics, and illicit sexual habits.
Prayer Meetings every Saturday at 7 a.m. Intercessory prayer every Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Usher Ministry
Purpose: To provide an inviting atmosphere whereby individuals can comfortably worship God; to provide a relevant and complete ministry of excellence with joy and vitality so that the entire needs of the people are met. Responsibilities: Go into communities to share the Word of God and place literature in assigned areas; must be willing to lead prayer.
Outreach Ministry - Bread of Life
Purpose: To minister to the homeless/displaced community through various outreach events and efforts. Responsibilities: Serve as liaison to other ministries within the church; must be available to go into various park and community settings to share the Word of God through the provision of food, and clothing and the spoken Word.
Men's Ministry | MOV - Men of Valor
Purpose: To provide a spiritual bond among the brotherhood, mentor to youth groups, and act as church stewards. This ministry is for all men ages 19 and over.
Bible Study each and every Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm
Women's Ministry | WOW - Women of the Word
Purpose: To encourage and mentor women of all ages to live for the Lord by applying the Word of God to their daily walk and to invoke positive change in the lives of women everywhere. Responsibilities: Assist and participate in monthly fellowships; to serve others by utilizing natural and spiritual gifts; mentor and encourage other women so they can understand their purpose in life; empower each other to live Godly lives; assist other ministries within the church as needed. For all women ages 19 & over.

Office Administration Ministry
Purpose: To devote time and expertise ensuring daily office functions are handled. Responsibilities: Data entry of new member and guest forms; prepare, copy and fold weekly bulletins, and handout materials; assist in preparation of overhead presentations for services; update bulletin boards, and other duties as identified.
Cross Word 'Connected' Ministry
Purpose: To bring honor and glory to God through contact with new and existing members and our guests which is accomplished by providing a warm, genuine Christian spirit during follow up calls. Responsibilities: Place follow-up calls to new & existing members and guest and ask how they are doing as well as seek input on their visit/worship experience and obtain input.
Heart to Heart (Cancer Support) Ministry
Our purpose is to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals diagnosed with cancer of all types according to the Word of God. Our focus is to demonstrate the love of God and offer encouragement to the cancer fighter, survivor, and their families in an environment that helps to promote and sustain the quality of life after cancer diagnosis by providing support through fellowship events, and educational forums that encourage healthy living and ultimately preparation for life after cancer.
Audio Visual (AV Media Control Room)
Goal is to enhance current ministries through the use of technology to connect with people by using new and innovative methods of communication during worship services & other events utilizing AV equiptment, DVD creation etc.
Christian Education
Purpose: To provide quality Christian education in a positive, exciting and spiritually empowering environment. Classes are available for all ages from Pre-K to Senior Adults. The goal is to produce spiritually mature Christians who will evangelize the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Classes are held on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Volunteers are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Spiritually Anointed Praise Dancers
The praise dance ministry is designed to teach and train girls and young ladies (ages 7 through 18) to minister to the body of Christ through dance. Regular rehearsals are held to provide the basis and opportunity for them to understand the gift of dance and the importance of worship in their individual lifestyle. Parental support and participation is a key element to the success of this ministry.
Word to the Wise
The Word to the Wise is a dynamic spoken word poetry ministry where you can express your personal walk with Jesus. We offer a poetry workshop, featured poets, and open mic for all to get involved. Original works of art and passages from your favorite writers are all welcomed!
Our Motto is, "It doesn't matter what you say, we're gonna clap for you anyway"
Angel Food Ministry - Meets 4th Saturday each month
Purpose: As host site for the national Angel Food distribution program, the Cross Word Angel Food ministry is a way for families to provide a health meal to their family as well as saving money on their grocery bill each month. New menus are provided each month and orders can be placed at the Angel Food table each Sunday. Assistance with ordering and payment processing is available.
Food is distributed on the 4th, Saturday each month between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Convalescent Ministry- Meets 3rd Saturday each month
Purpose: To take the gospel of Jesus Christ to men and women residing in rest homes and convalescent hospitals. Support scripture: James 1:27
Meeting are every 3rd Saturday @ 2:30pm (at the Convalescent Home)
Culinary Arts Ministry - (Kitchen Ministry)
Purpose: To proactively coordinate, set up/break down and prepare meal service for various church events in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The goal is to recruit individuals who are passionate about meal preparation and planning.
